Eating and drinking in and around the Guadiaro Valley is a joy! There is a huge variety of local dishes to sample and a wealth of tapas bars, restaurants and cafes thoughout the area.

Whether you are looking for some simple, tasty tapas to accompany a cold beer in a local bar or some fine cuisine in elegant surroundings, you've come to the right area!

The local cuisine tends to comprise the very best quality local ingredients, simply prepared to offer some incredible flavours. As a region renowned for the production of top quality Serrano Ham, chorizo and pork products, pork figures heavily on local menus. Fantastic salads, wonderful fish and other local favourites such as rabbit, rich stews, paellas, fantastic soups and game all go to make the local cuisine a real treat! Add to that some good local and regional wines and liquers and you have a recipe for some wonderful leisurely lunches and dinners.

There are some great wines made in the Ronda area using skill and care. However there is one wine that is marketed as coming from this area but is a blend of much cheaper wine from the mass-producing areas of central Spain.

We don’t want to name and shame so, being positive, wines that are to be recommended without reservation are from the following bodegas:
