Description

The cheese making workshop is divided into two parts as there is too much content for just one weekend.

Participants will be led through the process of making a variety of fresh cheeses from local goats' milk.

Everybody takes home the cheeses they have made, so it is very hands on and tasty!

The course leader is a Spanish cheese maker from Las Alpujarras.

The first course is on Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3 - starting at 10am and finishing at 5pm on both days. It will consist of an introduction and lecture on the theory of cheese making (with notes available in both English and Spanish).

The second weekend continues to build on the work done in the first course but could be done without attending the first part.

It starts on the afternoon of Friday, October 23 and continues on the following two full days, covering the making of cheeses from fermented milk (ie. Rullo de Cabra) and cured cheese.

Price of 60€ per weekend. Lunch is not included but will be taken in the Hotel Banu Rabbah's very nice restaurant.
