LEAVING Bar Allioli  turn left along to the railway crossing then over the track and at the end of the lane turn left.

Follow the road past walnut trees and by the river until you come across picnic tables. After viewing the dam by the scout camp, come back 100 metres and follow the sign for the village.

This brings you out by the swimming pool and from here up the road to the bus stop. Turn right and up the hill to the village square. Far right corner go down the street past the Hotel and continue down with the school on your right.

At the entrance to a large house take the track to the right and at a small cottage drop to the right down a slope onto a path. This path is marked with green blobs and cuts across the sides of the hills. It then starts climbing up, again follow the green blobs and doubles back to the right at a small water pool.

From here up onto the ridge where there is a ruin and follow the markers up through a open patch then straight forward to the remains of a round tower (suspected Moorish ruin).

As you look across the valley from here behind you to the left is a marker pointing the way up the hill. Head for the goat trail and the way is marked clearly until you come out onto a dirt road.

From here continue carefully downhill to the village, as you enter take the right road and return to the hotel. Back down the hill the way as before but this time go to the left of the house. This track brings you down to the station.

There is a split but the choice is yours. Left shorter, right one longer and more countryside. Both get you back to Bar Allioli and a welcome drink. Unless it is a Tuesday and we are closed!
