Based in Cortes de la Frontera, Riders of the Lost Trail, has been showing riders from around the world, the wonders of our landscape, for over a year now.

The riding ranges from ‘very easy’ for absolute off road virgins, to  ‘challenging’, for the more experienced riders. All levels of experience are catered for by the friendly team.

A typical day starts over a steaming ‘café con leche’, at the El Gecko hotel, and then around a 100km trip, taking in the magnificent scenery, lunch, and fantastic dirt bike riding. Everything is included in the tour, whether it be for one day or for seven days. The riding gear, helmet, boots, protective body armour, third party bike insurance, lunch, and fuel are all part of the package.

Not only does the riding take in the Guadiaro Valley, but also the Alcornocales cork oak forest, and extensively, in the Genal Valley. One minute you could be crossing a river, and the next climbing to over 1200 meters, and looking down towards Gibraltar, and on clear days, on into the Rif mountains of northern Morocco.

Owner and guide Phil Wood, has lived in Cortes for over 10 years, and has an in depth understanding of the language, local customs, and the flora and fauna.

The Riders of the Lost Trail experience, has recently been described, in the UK’s best selling trail biking magazine, as “Dirt Biking Paradise”.

Riders of the Lost Trail, has recently received a certificate of excellence from Trip Advisor, from its repeated 5-star tour ratings, from previous riders.
