SECRET Andalucia today offered 853 lucky people the chance to discover the Guadiaro Valley towns of Benaojan, Cortes de la Frontera, Jimera de Libar and Montejaque which lie south of Ronda - the City of Dreams.

The Guadiaro Independent Traders wanted to increase awareness of this beautiful, unspoilt part of 'real' Spain with its rich history and picture postcard 'pueblos blancos' and sponsored a one-off return flight to Spain on the world's largest passenger aircraft.

Hotels, restaurants and bars are among the GITs members. They struck the ground-breaking deal with Airbus which will see the Superjumbo make its maiden landing at Malaga airport just before noon on April 1.

Maxine Findlay at the El Gecko Hotel and Bistro in Cortes de la Fontera said, "We were looking for a novel way of bringing more visitors into the area - and we thought let's aim high. The sky's the limit!"

The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine airliner manufactured by the European corporation Airbus, a subsidiary of EADS.

The largest passenger airliner in the world, the A380 made its maiden flight on 27 April 2005 from Toulouse, France, and made its first commercial flight on 25 October 2007 from Singapore to Sydney with Singapore Airlines.

The aircraft was known as the Airbus A3XX during much of its development phase, but the nickname Superjumbo has since become associated with it.
