SANDRINE Dos-Santos and Rona Webb were the winners of the inaugural Treasure Hunt in the Guadiaro Valley with a perfect score. Cudeca, the cancer care charity on the Costa del Sol, was also a winner as €115 was raised from the event which was organised by businesses in Cortes de la Frontera, Benaojan, Montejaque and Jimera de Libar areas. The event attracted participants from the Costa del Sol and Gibraltar as well as the Serrania de Ronda.

Sandrine (Butterfly Adventures) and Rona (Lejair Hang Gliding Courses and Holidays) - pooled their brains and amazingly got all their answers correct while enjoying a sunny day out amongst the stunning spring scenery of our 'Secret Andalucia'.

The teams registered and set off from Bar Allioli in the morning. They had to answer questions – set by Paul Darwent - about the local area and had to match music clues with locations. They also had to collect a number of items from some of the participating establishments and en-route.

The winners received a gift voucher for accommodation at the Hotel El Gecko in Cortes de la Frontera while the three teams who tied for second place - just one point behind - received vouchers for a one night stay at either the Molino del Santo in Benaojan, the Elefante Amarillo in Montejaque and the Molino Cuatro Paradas - also in Benaojan.

Kate McHardy (Forever Living Aloe Vera products) was kept busy at the Molino del Santo - answering questions about the local area - after leading her weekly Saturday morning yoga class at the hotel.

And artist Ian Antonio (Creative Holidays Spain), who produced the poster for the GITs (Guadiaro Independent Traders) event, gave a demonstration of his work at the El Gecko.
