A SMALL rural hotel near Ronda has been voted the world’s ‘Best Bargain’ hotel. Hotel Molino del Santo, in Benaojan, has also been voted ‘Best Hidden Gem in Europe’ by the millions of customers who use the Trip Advisor website each year.

Now in its seventh year, the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice awards 2009 honours the world’s best hotels, earning their distinction from those who know them best – real travellers.

“Our travellers always appreciate great values, and 2009 is certainly no exception.” said Michele Perry, vice president of Trip Advisor.

“The awards highlight more bargain properties than ever before and millions of real travellers worldwide have helped identify these outstanding hotels, recognized for their exceptional accommodation, service and value.”

Hotel Molino del Santo owner Andy Chapell said: “These are amazing accolades for us and our brilliant staff. We don’t know how many hotels are listed on Trip Advisor but to be recognised in one category as the best in the world is excellent.
