Jamie Oliver Does Andalucia

WHEN Jamie Oliver did Andalucia he came to our Secret Andalucia - the Guadiaro Valley. And to get an authentic taste of Andalucia he started his journey in the historic town of Ronda, the birthplace of modern bullfighting. He then cooked a paella for 500 villagers in Benaojan in the biggest pan he'd ever seen. The programme was broadcast in the UK on Channel 4.

In the beautifully filmed episode, featuring the stunning Andalucian countryside, Jamie cooked rabbit stew with hunters. He was taught how to cut Serrano ham by a world-champion father and son team. And he joined in the festivities, as a giant statue of the Virgin was carried from a church to the sea by a hundred men on the Costa del Sol.

Along the way he prepared authentic gazpacho; pork chops with Spanish beans; salt-roasted fish; an amazing tomato salad with chorizo; and a quail's egg breakfast with morcilla (black pudding).

There's something for everyone in the Guadiaro Valley - history, walking, birdwatching, art or just plain relaxing. Why not follow in Jamie's footsteps and visit our Secret Andalucia to get a taste of the REAL Spain?
