AS friends in Scotland go back to school today I stop and take some time to appreciate the quality of life I have here in Andalucia. Not to mention the harrowing images of the drought and famine in Ethiopia. It is so important, no matter where we live or what we are doing in life, to stop and take time to appreciate the things we take for granted on a daily basis.

One of my favourite phrases is “enlightened beings give thanks for things that others take for granted”. It is so true... have you thought about consciously giving thanks for the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we enjoy, the stunning countryside, the blue sky, the night sky filled with stars... and on and on... our friends and our children ... grandchildren, pets... etc etc.

Now I know you do appreciate these things but do you ever just stop and focus your mind on them... on what’s wonderful about your life?

Try it... you’ll smile so much that you’ll attract even more wonder into your day... have a good one.
