Kate McHardy's Mind, Body and Soul Blog

WELL, after another lovely yoga class, I feel this blog is well overdue! Life has bitten at my coat tails rather too much over the last few months and, by the end of June, I have to admit I was a wee bitty tattered round the edges.  However, we’re now in the wonderful month of August again and, amid the heat and the ferias, I am reminded of why I love this valley so much.

Not because of the extreme heat and certainly not of the ferias... but the simple beauty and ambience of this truly beautiful part of the world.  Our secret... which we are only too willing to share with others who appreciate it as much as we do.

Driving from Jimera to Benajoan on Sunday mornings for my weekly yoga class must be the best tonic there is.  A gentle reminder of what a wonderful world we live in even though there may be dreadful things happening in different parts of the world - and not so far away.  The majesty of the hills with the little white villages dotted in the distance... the hazy, morning skyline of Ronda... and then yoga  in the studio in the Molino del Santo. Simply divine.

We must remember to be grateful for the little things in life as well as the biggies... remembering that enlightened people give thanks for things that others take for granted.

We get what we focus on and so it is important to focus on good things... things we want to have in our lives for ourselves and others.  Happiness and love and peace... and...

Namaste...
