IT’S probably good for the soul to be back into productive day mode and out earning a crust again… but I don’t feel my soul has quite engaged in the process yet. My whole being is yearning for the beautiful Guadiaro valley, for the mountains, and the hillsides gently decorated with the exquisite lilac blossom of the almond trees.

But truly, I can hardly complain as I will be heading back there on Friday evening for the weekend. And what will I do? Well, Saturday I will go riding on my wonderful Ludo and by the time I wander back there will most likely be people in the bar with whom I need to catch up. I will spend the later part of the evening snuggled in front of my log burner… probably knitting… or skyping my babies in Brazil. They are in Rio at the moment, as it happens, but they are in the city well clear of the dreadful floods which have devastated so many lives.

My brother went back to Scotland this morning where he reports 6 degrees!!! Aaaaargh!!!! He has left his trusty mountain bike in my safe keeping… suggests that he has been smitten by the Guadiaro Valley bug and is planning getting back out here asap!
