COMMITMENT to writing my blog is clearly not as focused as I’d like it to be... my intentions are good but I haven’t been following through.
It is quite a few months since I last wrote my blog and although many things remain the same, many things change. The moving hands of time... the constant and ever changing rhythms of the universe just keep on keeping on. Thank goodness the sun always remembers to rise and set and the moon to move in accordance with it.

DOESN’T time fly! Since my last blog I have been very busy... in the best possible ways of course. I have had many excellent evenings out on my horse, the wonderful Ludo, and some of them beyond excellent - the joy of riding out on these amazing autumn evenings is beyond amazing...
Yoga classes continue to grow and change and we have very special Sunday mornings at the Molino del Santo. First of all in the yoga studio and then downstairs having breakfast on the terrace. All manner of topics come up for analyzing and opining upon... heaven forfend that any gossiping might take place but it would be fair to say that we do set the world to rights!

SUDDENLY, come September 1, the pueblo is quiet. The summer visitors are all gone and, although the sun is still very warm, the summer season is very definitely over for another year.
However, the quiet brings with it a totally different kind of joy. My lovely family arrived for ten days, having decided that, with an almost two-year-old, early September is a much better idea than July or August. We spent the first few days on the quiet end of the coast and eagerly arrived in Jimera for a few days over the weekend - mid holiday.

LIFE here in the valley is most definitely good for the mind, the body and the soul.
An example of why? The other morning I was planning on leaving the village fairly early to collect my family (the beautiful grandson is now 22 months old - time flies) from Gibraltar airport… only one and a half hours drive from this little piece of paradise.

AS friends in Scotland go back to school today I stop and take some time to appreciate the quality of life I have here in Andalucia. Not to mention the harrowing images of the drought and famine in Ethiopia. It is so important, no matter where we live or what we are doing in life, to stop and take time to appreciate the things we take for granted on a daily basis.

WELL, after another lovely yoga class, I feel this blog is well overdue! Life has bitten at my coat tails rather too much over the last few months and, by the end of June, I have to admit I was a wee bitty tattered round the edges. However, we’re now in the wonderful month of August again and, amid the heat and the ferias, I am reminded of why I love this valley so much.
